"Ressurection for Death"
King Herod's murderous attempt to destroy the Christ child starkly contrasts with the Magi’s joyful worship. This clash between death and life foreshadows the ultimate victory Jesus achieves through His resurrection. Herod represents the power of sin and death, but the escape of the infant Savior shows that God’s plan cannot be thwarted. This message reflects on how Christ exchanges our death for His resurrection.

COMMUNION AT CONCORDIA
(Matthew 26:26-28)The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod believes the Biblical teaching that in Communion we receive the true body and blood of Jesus Christ with the bread and wine for the forgiveness of sins. If you are a baptized Christian who has been instructed in the Biblical teaching of Communion, and if you agree with our confession of faith, please feel free to commune today. Parents of younger children who have not been instructed and Confirmed in the faith are welcome to bring their children forward to receive a blessing. Upon request, a non-alcoholic beverage (white grape juice) is available in the center circle of each tray, and gluten-free wafers are available at every station. If you have any questions, please let us know.
BAPTISM AT CONCORDIA
(Mark 16:16)Scripture and our Lutheran Confessions call Baptism a second birth, the creation of a brand-new life begun in Christ, and reaching its fullness on the day of resurrection. By preparing for you or your child to be baptized you are taking the most important step in continuing the journey in the Christian faith. Baptism is not just plain water, but it is the water included in God’s command and combined with God’s Word. For more information about Baptism, email dorisb@concordia.cc.
